Scott WATROUS

Senior Vice President 

Scott Watrous joined Freedom Escrow in August of 1988, and he has 30+ years of experience in business, finance, and real estate. Scott was born and raised in Orange County, CA.

President & Senior Escrow Officer

An Orange County native, Jason began his career at Freedom Escrow in 1997. His superior customer service has allowed him to work with the largest names in commercial and residential real estate. He is able to take the most complex transaction and simplify the process for the client including all forms of commercial/residential re-sale, loan, 1031 exchange, REO, short sale, and RELO transactions. Jason enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Brittany and their four children Miles, Anni, Charlotte, and Archie. He currently serves as Chairperson for the Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation, an important oversight component of the escrow industry. 

Senior Escrow Officer & Corporate Secretary

Michael began his career at Freedom Escrow in 1999 and has accumulated the knowledge and technical expertise to close complex and demanding real estate escrow transactions. This includes commercial/apartment, residential, loan, and REO/short-sales transactions. He takes pride in providing an organized escrow process that will please the most demanding buyer, seller, and real estate professional. His next-level expertise stands out among the assembly line mentality of other escrow practitioners. Michael currently resides in Huntington Beach with his wife and two children. 

Vice President - Sales

Jeff grew up in Tustin, CA. After graduating from Tustin High School in 1978, he attended Orange Coast College and graduated with his Associate of Arts Degree in Horticulture. With his enthusiasm and commitment to his profession, Jeff started his own company in 1984. Mertoscapes was tremendously successful in generating annual sales.

Escrow Officer

Lisa, an Orange County native, has been with Freedom Escrow for over 14 years. She is an experienced escrow professional handling each client with care in an efficient and hands-on approach. She is an expert in residential and commercial escrow transactions with vast experience in probate/trusts, 1031 exchange, and seller financing. She enjoys spending time with her family, interior design, and being outdoors.
