JOANIE WATROUS is the heart and soul of Freedom Escrow. Joanie founded Freedom Escrow in 1971 and she has weathered staggering highs and lows of the escrow business. As a Southern California native, she attended Cal State Fullerton University and the University of Irvine . Joanie values education and is currently a corporate sponsor for Chapman University.
Joanie has also served on many boards, of which a few are listed, showing where her interest benefited. She served on the Chapman University Board of Advisors for the Roger C. Hobbs institute for Real Estate, Law & Environmental Studies, TEC 8 Vistage, the Board of Directors for the Escrow Agent’s Fidelity Corporation, Adoption Guild of Southern California, the Metro Guild for SCR, and the Building Industry Association (BIA).
